Going World Wide

Around early June 2013 I received a email from Emily K. (Community Director) of See.Me.com telling me I was selected to be in an exhibit with other artist from around the world. I couldn't believe it and thought it was a hoax until i remember i had a basic membership with the site. I was advised to up date my membership and confirm my participation with the exhibit. I wasn't sure about updating my membership for 70$ a year but after carefully thinking and talking it over with one of my advisers, it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up.

*Great marketing by the way and getting artist to invest in themselves, may use that with FittedToMatch.com*
*thumbs up*

The day has come of the event, and i still cant believe my work was chosen among 700,000+ members of see.me. artist community. In the last email i received from Emily K. I was advised to arrive by 6 pm to sign in. She also stated that the open reception will be in in NYC but for future viewings would be in L.I.C NYC. I was excited to hear that because I don't get off my Job until 6 pm so i still have to rush but not go far.

During lunch I brought a shirt to wear (camera reasons, lol), told my girlfriend/ assistant Yoli A. to be ready before 6 pm because we are hopping in a cab and heading over to the venue right away. Not sure what to expect when the clock striked 5:58 pm; I logged out and met Yoli downstairs to catch a cab, she quickly told me that she called a cab company to pick us up but we waited over 10 min and the cab was not there. I looked left, I looked right and raised my hand trying to catch a yellow cab. Just my luck one pulled up right away. We arrive at the venue and I never seen so many people. It had to be a block full of people wanting to get in to the exhibit. Running a little late I was eager to check in and view my work as well as other artist.

With out any instruction from security I was able to find the artist check in door. "Come on bab" I softly told Yoli as i went for the door. Behind the door was a line for artist to sign in, the process didn't take that long at all. We finally approached the exhibit area to find the venue crowded, with TVs lined up on the west side of the building and again on the east side of the building. "Where is every one getting those red cups from?" I asked Yoli. "we can see my work later, i need a drink now".

Big S/O to Laura Peragallo/ Christiano Constante/ Midori Okuyama/ Tamami Yamamoto/ Mikael Darni/  Lusus Naturae/ Emily K./ all the See.Me staff, and every one that attended.
